
The Georgia Promise Scholarship
The Georgia Promise Scholarship (also known as GAFutures Promise) provides eligible Georgia students with up to $6,500 toward approved nonpublic school expenses, beginning in the 2025–2026 academic year. Funds may be used for New Generation Academy tuition and fees, required texts, tutoring services, approved curriculum, therapy services, transportation resources, and other qualified expenses
Eligibility Criteria
Currently enrolled in a Georgia public school for two consecutive semesters (e.g., Fall 2024 and Spring 2025), OR be a rising kindergarten student for the 2025–2026 school year
Reside in the attendance zone of at least one lower-performing public school (as defined by GESA). A list of eligible attendance zones is released by December 1 each year.

The student’s parent or legal guardian must have been a Georgia resident for at least 12 months prior to applying.
Enrollment Verification
For non-rising kindergarten students, a copy of the most recent report card, transcript, or enrollment/attendance report from the 2024–2025 academic year.
Proof of Georgia Residency
A valid Georgia driver’s license or state ID, plus a utility bill, lease agreement, mortgage statement, or vehicle bill of sale.
Deadlines and Application Windows
Student applications for the 2025–2026 academic year open on March 1, 2025 and proceed through multiple windows. You may apply during any open window—priority is not given based on submission date.

After applying to the Georgia Promise Scholarship, applicants must also apply directly and be approved for enrollment to New Generation Academy.

Required Document Checklist
Before beginning the online application, gather digital copies of the following:
Parent/Guardian ID
Georgia driver’s license or state ID (front/back scan)
Proof of Residency
One of: utility bill, lease agreement, mortgage statement, or vehicle bill of sale dated within the past 60 days.
Enrollment Verification

If entering K: no prior public school documentation required.

Create Your GAFutures Portal Account

Go to mygeorgiapromise.org and click “Families Login/Apply.”

Complete the account setup with a valid email address and password.

Complete & Submit the Online Application

Fill out student information, family income (if requesting priority), and school choices.

Upload all required documentation.

Review and submit your application before June 30, 2025

Enroll in New Generation Academy

Submit Application to apply to New Generation before July 31, 2025

Direct Scholarship Funds

Once your account is funded (beginning July 1, 2025), log into your GAFutures portal to designate approved vendors (e.g., New Generation Academy).

Funds will be disbursed quarterly to either your provider or directly to you for approved expenses.
